Heroin
Heroin is one of the most addictive drugs there is (but you already knew that).
Heroin is an opiate (like morphine or codeine). It's danger not only lies in the drug itself but the way it is administered. It is dangerous both to the user and their loved ones. |
Because the most common way to use heroin is shooting up, they are subject to infectious diseases like HIV/AIDS, and hepatitis. If you have intimate contact with a heroin user you should also be concerned about infectious diseases as well.
Heroin users can be a little harder to spot than other other types of drug users. They tend to be long tern users and they are good at covering their tracks (no pun intended). |

Kicking Heroin
We have all seen the stories of addicts kicking heroin but today things are different. The addict can be detoxed in a relatively pain and stress free manor. It is less dangerous to detox from heroin than it is from alcohol.
